Rangoli, an Indian art form is a great activity for elementary school children that introduces them to Indian culture.  Below are images where kids were enjoying creating Rangoli today on the school pavement . The class teacher has organized the activity very efficiently. 

 Today the day started pleasantly. The second grade classroom at Kipp Valiant Community Prep, kids and the teachers were very welcoming after my brief  vacation last week. Though my work day was short -  it was short and sweet. One of the students handed over a 'Miss U' card that she has created for me which made me very happy. I am 'pasting' the card below:     

 Nothing exciting to publish today. I will see what tomorrow brings. Planning to go to bed a little early tonight. Good night. 

 Thinking of studying for the Google 2 Educator level exam.  Google 1 Educator exam made me explore lots of google apps which I would not have done earlier. For example, google maps have amazing features for teachers to utilize for their classroom projects. I developed a simple google site related to my school job. I explored google docs and am very impressed with all its new features. The exam is simple but is essential for all educators to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms.
